Ingredients

  • 2 chicken fillets
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season chicken fillets with salt and pepper.
  3. In a bowl, mix soy sauce and mirin with beaten eggs.
  4. Coat chicken in flour, dip in egg mixture, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Place chicken in the air fryer basket.
  6. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Check for an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  8. Remove and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

  • Serve with tonkatsu sauce.
