Valentines Candies: 5 Sweet Ideas to Melt Hearts

Delicious homemade Valentine’s candies.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Food coloring
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • Sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and food coloring.
  5. Pour into a greased baking sheet and let cool.
  6. Once cooled, break into pieces.
  7. Melt chocolate chips and dip candy pieces.
  8. Sprinkle with decorations while chocolate is still warm.
