valentines cheesecake: 7 Steps to Make Love on a Plate

Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, pureed

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.
  4. In a large bowl, beat sugar and cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Add vanilla and eggs, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Stir in sour cream and strawberry puree.
  7. Pour the mixture over the crust in the pan.
  8. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until set.
  9. Cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
