Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla to the butter mixture; mix well.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture; blend until combined.
  6. Roll out dough on a floured surface and cut into shapes.
  7. Place cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  8. Let cookies cool completely before decorating.
  9. In a bowl, combine powdered sugar, meringue powder, and water to make royal icing.
  10. Add food coloring to icing as desired and decorate cookies.
