Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
- Divide the batter into two bowls. Tint one with red food coloring and the other with pink.
- Spoon the batters into cupcake liners, swirling them together for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before frosting with buttercream and adding sprinkles.
Notes
- Use gel food coloring for brighter colors.
- Make sure cupcakes are completely cool before frosting.
- Store cupcakes in an airtight container.
