- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
- Cut the pastry into heart shapes.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture on half of the heart shapes.
- Add sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese.
- Place the other half of the heart shapes on top and seal the edges.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Use frozen puff pastry for convenience.
- Feel free to add other fruits like raspberries or blueberries.
- Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar on top.
