- 1 whole chicken (about 4–5 lbs)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 lemon, halved
- Fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, or parsley) for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
- Rub the olive oil all over the chicken.
- Mix the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- Season the chicken with the spice mixture, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
- Place the lemon halves inside the cavity of the chicken.
- Place the chicken in the air fryer basket, breast side down.
- Cook for 30 minutes, then flip the chicken to breast side up and cook for an additional 25-30 minutes.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.

- For crispy skin, you can cook at a higher temperature for the last few minutes.
